Lumino Leamington is seeking detail-oriented and compassionate team members to join our practice in Cambridge, New Zealand. We are currently looking to fill two vacancies:
1. Dental Assistant
In this role, you will provide essential chairside support to our dental professionals while delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be organised, supportive, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient service and clinical excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist dentists during patient examinations and dental procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation and treatment notes
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming clinical environment
- Follow all health and safety regulations specific to dental practice in New Zealand
Hours for this role:
- Monday: 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Tuesday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
2. Receptionist / Dental Assistant
This is a dual-role position combining front desk coordination with clinical support. You will be the first point of contact for patients while also assisting the clinical team as required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Greet patients in a professional and empathetic manner, addressing concerns and questions
- Manage patient records and scheduling using dental software systems
- Support the front desk with administrative tasks including appointment scheduling and billing enquiries
- Assist dentists during procedures when required
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Contribute to a smooth, efficient, and welcoming patient experience
Hours for this role:
- Monday 9:00am – 2:30pm
- Tuesday 9:00am – 2.30pm
- Wednesday 7:30am – 5:30pm
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar clinical support role
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment operation
- Proficiency with dental practice management software and digital systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact professionally with patients and team members
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Understanding of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Professional demeanor and commitment to patient confidentiality
- Preferred: Previous experience in a dental practice setting
