    Here at Burton and Brown, we are a long standing team with a loyal patient base who work together to provide a high standard of patient care. We're proud to work in a positive environment with a team of clinical experts and talented support staff, all with the shared goal of making dentistry a positive experience. Our practice, located in Wellington CBD, is equipped with high end technology as we provide patients with general and specialized services 

    What does a Dental Assistant Do? A Dental Assistant is a critical part of our team! You will support our highly experienced team of clinicians with various interesting dental procedures during patient appointments. You will also take responsibility for instrument sterilization and infection control and also stock control. Working beside experienced Dentists will give you a great insight into our practice and a rare opportunity to learn from one of the best.

    Our clinic offers a wide range of technical treatments such a surgical implants, surgical extractions and orthodontic treatment, an aptitude for proactivity and skill is a must. You will be working with our co-lead Dentist, who is a busy and well-sort after clinician. 

    The hours for this role are:

    • Monday: As required
    • Tuesday: 7:45am - 5.30pm
    • Wednesday: 7:45am - 5:30pm
    • Thursday: 7:45am - 5.30pm
    • Friday: 7:45am - 4.45pm

    You will need to be flexible around hours with early or late schedules. 


    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

    • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is a must, advantageous if NZ based training.
    • Proven experience in reception or customer-facing roles is advantageous. 
    • Flexibility to help out the team is a must, we are a large team who work together. 
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • A positive and team-orientated approach to all you do. 
    • Computer savvy skills with the ability to pick up things quickly.
    • Management of stock control and setting up your surgery to always be prepared.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Remuneration is based on experience.
