Job Description

How you’ll make an impact
In this role, you’ll provide crucial chairside support to our clinicians, ensuring every patient enjoys a smooth, positive experience from start to finish. You’ll play a key role in creating a calm, welcoming environment while helping the practice run efficiently.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly, professional manner
  • Assisting dentists during procedures, ensuring proper instrument handling and patient comfort
  • Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising instruments according to strict infection control protocols
  • Collaborating with the dental team to maintain smooth operations and excellent patient care
  • Promoting a positive and supportive environment for both patients and colleagues

Qualifications

Your experience and approach
Your greatest asset is a positive, can-do attitude and strong team spirit. While previous dental experience is a bonus, it’s not required – we value excellent communication, attention to detail, and a patient-first mindset. The ability to speak additional languages is also a plus, helping us connect with Christchurch’s diverse community.

You should have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures (preferred but not required)
  • A friendly, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented approach to work
  • Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a positive team environment
