Are you ready to take the next step in your dental career and become a key part of a friendly, fast-paced practice? Lumino Karori is seeking a dedicated, full-time Dental Assistant to join our team permanently and play an essential role in delivering outstanding patient care.
Located in the heart of Karori, Wellington, our practice is looking for someone who’s enthusiastic, compassionate, and eager to grow. This is more than just a job — it's an opportunity to be part of a supportive environment where learning is encouraged and every day brings something new.
As our new Dental Assistant, you'll provide crucial chairside support to our clinicians, helping ensure every patient has a smooth, positive experience from start to finish.
- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist dentists during dental procedures, ensuring proper instrument handling and patient comfort
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate and organise patient records and documentation
- Schedule appointments, manage patient inquiries, and handle administrative tasks when required
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient care
- Promote a positive and supportive environment for patients and colleagues
The hours for this role are:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:15am - 5.30pm
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding patient experinece
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience in dental assisting or reception (helpful but not required)
- A friendly, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented approach to work
- Willingness to collaborate with the dental team and contribute to a positive work environment
