    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our friendly team at Lumino Manurewa. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive practice where you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth day-to-day clinical operations.

    How you'll make an impact

    As a Dental Assistant, you’ll work closely with our clinicians to provide high-quality chairside support and ensure every patient feels comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit.

    You’ll assist dentists during examinations and procedures, prepare and sterilise treatment rooms in line with infection control standards, and ensure all instruments and equipment are ready for use. You’ll also maintain accurate patient records, support inventory management, and help keep the clinical environment clean, organised, and welcoming.

    Your attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to patient care will help ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently every day.

    Hours for this role : 

    Working hours:

    From 15th July to 21st August 

    • Wednesday to Friday 

    25th August onwards

    • Tuesday to Friday

     


    Qualifications

    What we're looking for:

    • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar clinical support role.
    • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
    • Experience using dental practice management software (EXACT preferred).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
    • Strong attention to detail and highly developed organisational skills.
    • Understanding of infection control and sterilisation procedures.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy clinical environment.
    • Professional, reliable, and respectful approach to patient confidentiality.
    • Strong typing and computer literacy skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.
    • A valid NZ work right and live locally
