Lumino Palmerston North is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team part-time on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8.30am to 5.30pm
Located in the heart of Palmerston North, our busy and welcoming practice is dedicated to providing outstanding dental care in a patient-focused environment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their role, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about helping people.
In this dual role, you'll support both the clinical and administrative functions of the practice, ensuring a seamless experience for patients and clinicians alike.
As a Dental Assistant, you will:
- Assist clinicians during a variety of dental treatments and procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient appointments
- Maintain high infection control and sterilisation standards
- Ensure clinical areas are clean, organised, and fully stocked
- Support the wider clinical team to ensure the smooth running of the practice
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous Dental Assistant and/or Reception experience (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A warm, professional, and patient-focused approach
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment
- Confidence using computer systems and learning new technology
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The legal right to work in New Zealand
