Job Description
Lumino Sanctuary Botany Dental in East Auckland is seeking a very experienced dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team on a Full-time basis.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary instruments and materials are readily available
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including cleanings, fillings, root canal treatments and surgical extractions
- Provide chairside assistance and knowledge of dental instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clean and organised surgery
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment information
- Sterilise and disinfect dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols
- Greet and assist patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience
- Maintain inventory levels and stock surgery as necessary
Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience as a Dental assistant preferred and/or completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and dental staff
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage various responsibilities
- Proficiency in using Exact dental software and professional phone manner
- Ability to work well in a team environment and provide exceptional patient care
