Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Dental Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Lumino Taradale.
As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care. This is a hands-on role where you'll work chairside alongside our dentists, assist with sterilisation and infection control, and help maintain the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting clinicians during a variety of dental procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient appointments
- Ensuring patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilising instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
- Monitoring sterilisation processes and maintaining compliance records
- Restocking treatment rooms and clinical supplies
- Assisting with stock management and monthly ordering
- Supporting the team to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment
Hours
This is a full-time position. Hours are negotiable, however ideally you will be available to work at least 4 days per week, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is highly valued.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous Dental Assistant experience (1+ years preferred)
- A strong understanding of infection control and sterilisation procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Experience using dental practice management software, ideally EXACT
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive, proactive, and team-focused approach
- A genuine passion for patient care and delivering exceptional service
