Dental Assistant/Receptionist - 1300Smiles Caloundra

At 1300SMILES Caloundra, we’re looking for a motivated and reliable Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team on a casual basis, 3 to 4 days a week.

Our practice has been part of the Caloundra community for many years, with a loyal patient base and a strong reputation for high-quality care. Conveniently located near Bulcock Beach, we’re a busy, well-established clinic that prides itself on delivering a great patient experience and working together as a close-knit team.

As a Dental Assistant/Receptionist, you will play a key role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring our patients have a positive experience. Your responsibilities will include:

• Chairside assisting across a range of dental procedures
• Preparing surgeries, instruments and materials
• Maintaining sterilisation and infection control standards
• Welcoming patients and providing exceptional customer service
• Managing appointments, calls and patient enquiries
• Processing payments and assisting with general reception duties
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Supporting the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the practice

We’re looking for someone who is confident working in both a clinical and reception environment and enjoys having a varied role.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous dental assisting and/or dental reception experience
• A friendly, approachable and professional manner
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment
• A positive attitude and willingness to jump in and help the team
• A genuine passion for patient care
• The ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team
• A willingness to learn and develop your skills
