Dental Assistant/Receptionist | Part-Time| Lumino Coastlands

Lumino Coastlands is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team in Paraparaumu, New Zealand on a part-time basis. • Greet patients in a warm and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere upon arrival at the practice
• Schedule and manage patient appointments using dental practice management software, optimizing the daily schedule for efficiency
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with privacy regulations
• Perform front-desk administrative duties including answering phones, managing correspondence, and processing patient inquiries
• Assist dentists and hygienists with clinical procedures, including instrument sterilization, patient preparation, and chairside support
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary materials and equipment are readily available
• Handle patient billing inquiries, process payments, and manage insurance-related documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area and clinical workspace
• Support the overall operations of the dental practice while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Hours for this role :

• Wednesday to Friday 0800-1715

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in a dental office, healthcare setting, or administrative role (preferred)
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach
• Proficiency with computer systems and dental practice management software (preferred)
• Knowledge of dental terminology and basic understanding of dental procedures
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy standards
• Professional demeanor with a friendly and empathetic approach to patient interactions
• Dental Assistant certification or willingness to pursue certification (preferred)
• Experience with medical billing and insurance processing (preferred)
• Ability to work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, and team members
