We are currently seeking two full-time positions within our practice, a Dental Assistant / Sterilisation Assistant and a Dental Receptionist  to join our supportive and patient-focused team.

Dental Assistant / Sterilisation Assistant

How you’ll make an impact

In this role, you’ll play an important part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and infection control.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
  • Monitoring and recording sterilisation processes accurately
  • Supporting infection control procedures across the practice
  • Preparing treatment rooms for patients and procedures
  • Assisting clinicians chairside during dental treatments
  • Assisting with stock control and maintaining clinic organisation
  • Supporting the wider team to ensure a positive patient experience

Dental Receptionist

How you’ll make an impact

As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll help create a welcoming and professional experience from the moment they walk through the door.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting patients and managing front desk operations
  • Booking and confirming appointments
  • Answering phone calls and responding to patient enquiries
  • Managing patient records and administrative tasks
  • Processing payments and supporting general office duties
  • Coordinating with clinicians to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Helping create a positive and caring environment for patients

Hours for this role :

  • Monday to Thursday : 08:00am to 05:30pm
  • Friday : 08:00am to 03:00pm

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, personable, and enjoys building strong relationships with patients and team members alike.


Qualifications

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for reliable, organised, and patient-focused individuals who enjoy working as part of a supportive team and are eager to grow within the dental industry.

To succeed in either of these roles, you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in dental assisting, sterilisation, reception, administration, clinical support, or customer service is essential
  • Exact dental experience is a must
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A professional, friendly, and caring approach with patients
  • Confidence using computer systems and learning new software
  • A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
  • The ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills within the dental industry
  • Valid NZ work rights and live locally
