Looking to start a career in the dental industry where no two days are the same? At Maven Dental Port Lincoln, we’re looking for a friendly and motivated Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our supportive team.
No previous dental experience is required – we provide full on-the-job training to help you build your skills and confidence in the role. For the right candidate, there may also be the opportunity to complete a formal Dental Assisting qualification after six months with the practice.

Job Description
As a Dental Assistant, you will be trained to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care by:
- Provide chairside assistance, anticipating the needs of dentists and patients, and ensuring a seamless dental experience.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilise instruments, and ensure all equipment is in optimal condition for use.
- Take accurate patient records, including dental histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to infection control protocols and safety regulations.
- Reception duties - meeting & greeting patients, general enquiries, record keeping and processing payments.
Qualifications
As our successful applicant, you will demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to empathise and connect with patients.
- Strong time management and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software.
- Applicants must have/obtain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC info click here)
