Hallett Cove Dental Surgery which has been at the heart of the ever-expanding Hallett Cove community since 1985. Located on Ramrod Avenue, the practice provides quality, affordable dental care to the entire community.
We are looking for a trainee dental assistant to join our team. The role will be part time, with on-the-job training to work towards completing a Certificate III in Dental Assisting. This opportunity would suit anyone with a passion for the health care industry looking for an entry level position.
Days:
Wednesday 8:15am - 6pm
Thursday 8:15am - 6pm
Friday 8:15am - 5:30pm
Saturday 8:15am - 1pm
Job Description
As a Dental Assistant, you will be trained to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care by:
- Provide chairside assistance, anticipating the needs of dentists and patients, and ensuring a seamless dental experience.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilise instruments, and ensure all equipment is in optimal condition for use.
- Take accurate patient records, including dental histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to infection control protocols and safety regulations.
- Reception duties - meeting & greeting patients, general enquiries, record keeping and processing payments.
Qualifications
As our successful applicant, you will demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to empathise and connect with patients.
- Strong time management and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software.
- Working with Children Check essential.
