Dental Receptionist - Maven Dental New Farm

Maven Dental New Farm is looking for an experienced Dental Receptionist to join the team in a full-time role across four days, with Wednesdays and weekends off.

Located in New Farm, the practice provides general and restorative dentistry, dental implants and oral surgery to patients across New Farm and inner Brisbane. You'll be joining an established team that values a welcoming patient experience and has built long-standing relationships with its patients.

This role would suit an experienced dental receptionist who is confident using Oasis and can take ownership of the reception area. You'll be the first point of contact for patients, working closely with the Practice Manager, three dentists and the hygiene team.

Your hours:

• Monday: 8am to 6pm
• Tuesday and Thursday: 9am to 7pm
• Friday: 7:30am to 5:30pm

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming patients and creating a friendly, professional first impression
• Managing appointments, patient enquiries and day-to-day reception duties
• Answering phone calls and assisting patients with their questions
• Processing payments, HICAPS and health fund claims
• Maintaining accurate patient records and keeping the front desk organised
• Working closely with the dentists, hygiene team and Practice Manager throughout the day
• Using Oasis practice management software and MS Office for day-to-day administration
• Supporting a positive patient experience, including for nervous or anxious patients

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in a dental reception or dental assisting role (essential)
• Recent experience using Oasis practice management software (essential)
• Availability to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
• Knowledge of HICAPS, health fund claims and dental item numbers
• A warm and professional approach to patient care, including when handling challenging or sensitive situations
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, particularly when managing a busy front desk
