Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to step into a Lead Receptionist role at Lumino Broadway Dental. In this position, you will lead the front-of-house team within a busy dental practice, ensuring seamless daily operations while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

This role is ideal for someone with solid reception experience who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role and support a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the reception team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and high service standards
  • Manage appointment bookings and scheduling to optimise patient flow using the Practice Management System (PMS)
  • Maintain accurate patient records and support clinical and administrative workflows through the PMS
  • Provide professional and empathetic communication when handling patient enquiries, both in person and over the phone
  • Process payments and manage billing systems, including Smartpay, Easyclaim, QCard, and Afterpay
  • Build and maintain strong patient relationships to enhance overall satisfaction and loyalty
  • Effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Remain calm, organised, and professional during periods of high patient volume

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a dental or healthcare reception role,
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, or support a small team
  • Experience using a Practice Management System (PMS); dental PMS experience is highly advantageous
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach
  • Confidence in handling billing systems and payment processes
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
