Job Description
We’re looking for a passionate Oral Health Therapist to join our friendly, patient-focused dental practice in New Lynn. You’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality preventive and therapeutic care to patients of all ages, working alongside a supportive and collaborative dental team.

This is a part-time position, working:
- Tuesday - 8am to 4pm
- Friday - 7.30am to 2pm
- Saturday - 7.30am to 2pm
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver comprehensive oral health assessments and personalised treatment plans
- Provide preventive care including scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments and oral health education
- Empower patients with practical advice on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate electronic patient records and uphold best-practice infection control
- Support smooth patient flow and contribute to a calm, reassuring experience—especially for anxious patients
- Work closely with dentists and the wider team to deliver outstanding, coordinated care
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- Current (or eligible) registration as an Oral Health Therapist in New Zealand
- Strong clinical foundation in oral health therapy or dental hygiene
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-centred approach
- Confidence using electronic records and practice management systems
- A team player with great organisation skills and attention to detail
