Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team on a fixed-term contract through to April 2027.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play an important role in creating a positive experience from the moment they walk through the door. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy helping people, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Managing appointment bookings and patient enquiries
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records
- Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team with administrative tasks
- Ensuring the reception area remains tidy, organised, and patient-ready
Hours for this role :
- Monday - Tuesday : 7:00am to 4:00pm
- Wenesday - Friday : 9:00am to 5:00pm
This fixed-term opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, loves interacting with people, and is looking to join a supportive and collaborative team.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Previous reception, administration, or customer service experience
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using computer systems and learning new technology
- A positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude
- The ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment
Previous dental or healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
