Job Description

Lumino Dental in East Auckland is seeking an experienced and confident Senior Receptionist to lead front-of-house operations across our two modern Lumino practices – Sanctuary Dental and Botany Dental. This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care.

About the Role

In this a full-time role 38 hours p/week, you will ensure seamless reception operations across both sites while providing exceptional service to our patients and supporting the wider clinical team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering exceptional patient experience across both practices
  • Managing appointments, enquiries, payments, and daily reception workflows
  • Supporting clinicians and mentoring junior reception team members
  • Maintaining smooth, professional front-desk operations
  • Travelling between both practices as part of your regular weekly schedule

Hours for this role: 

  • Monday – Sanctuary: 8:00am–5:00pm (8.5 hrs)
  • Tuesday – Sanctuary: 8:30am–5:00pm (7.5 hrs)
  • Wednesday – Botany: 10:00am–7:00pm (8 hrs)
  • Thursday – Sanctuary: 8:30am–4:00pm (7 hrs)
  • Friday – Botany: 8:30am–4:15pm (7.25 hrs)

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of reception experience in a medical/clinical setting 
  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program (preferred)
  • Proficiency in using Exact dental software; confident with general computer systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when engaging with patients and clinical staff
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks
  • Professional phone manner and the ability to provide consistently high‑quality patient care
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Full driver’s license
  • Have valid NZ work rights and live locally
