Senior Receptionist - Maven Dental Cairns City

Experienced in dental reception and ready to step into a role where you can hit the ground running?

Maven Dental Cairns City is looking for an experienced Senior Dental Receptionist to join our established six-chair practice on a casual basis.

We’re looking for someone who already understands the pace of a busy dental practice and can confidently take ownership of the front desk. You’ll be comfortable managing the appointment book, supporting patients and clinicians, and keeping reception running smoothly without needing to be shown the basics.

This is a casual position suited to someone with flexibility to work 3–4 days per week, with the opportunity for additional shifts based on practice requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the front desk and day-to-day reception operations
• Welcoming patients and handling enquiries in person and over the phone
• Managing appointments, recalls and the appointment book
• Processing payments and completing general administration
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
• Working closely with clinicians to support patient flow
• Providing ad hoc dental assisting support when required

To succeed in this role, you will:

• 3+ year's experience in dental reception or a strong background in dental industry
• Understanding of dental terminology, procedures and practice workflows
• Experience confidently managing a busy appointment book
• The ability to work independently and prioritise competing tasks
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Confidence using dental practice software; D4W experience is highly regarded
• A professional, reliable and patient-focused approach
• The ability to work well with clinicians and support staff in a busy practice
