1300SMILES Mackay, part of the Abano Healthcare Group, is seeking a Temporary Practice Manager to lead our team from now until September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to step in, oversee daily operations, and ensure seamless patient care in a busy, well-established dental practice. For the right candidate, travel, accommodation, and car hire will be provided.
Job Description
As a Temp Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our 10-chair practice, currently operating with 5 active chairs and plans for expansion. Your focus will be on team leadership, operational efficiency, and delivering high-quality patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, including staff management, scheduling, compliance, and administration
- Foster a positive, engaged workplace, ensuring high staff morale and patient satisfaction
- Work closely with senior management to implement practice goals and policies
- Manage financial activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Ensure a smooth handover by working with the outgoing Practice Manager during transition
Qualifications
- Strong leadership experience, preferably in healthcare or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with staff and patients
- Agile, proactive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in practice management, administration, or business operations is highly regarded
